Michael J. Johnson has choreographed fights for well over 100 productions at Arena Stage, Round House Theater, Folger Shakespeare Library, Source Theatre Company, Washington Shakespeare Company, Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, Ford's Theatre, The Kennedy Center, Delaware Theatre Company and two independent feature films, to name a few.
His teaching credits include the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts, Georgetown University, University of Maryland's Opera Studio, New York Regional Workshop, National Stage Combat Workshop (as a Teaching Assistant), Fight Directors' Conference, the Paddy Crean Workshop, and his alma mater, the North Carolina School of the Arts.
A professional actor as well, Michael has performed at regional theatres, on television and in feature films, and was a stunt double for "A Man Called Hawk".
Michael received the 1995 Source Theatre Award, and is recognized for his accomplishment by Who's Who in Entertainment, Who's Who in America and International Men of Achievement.
