Colleen Kelly is Director of Theatre at the University of San Diego. Prior to that she served as Resident Fight Director and Head of the MFA Program at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. She serves on the Board of the Association of Theatre Movement Educators and is a Past V.P. of the SAFD. Professional credits include director, actor (Equity), fight director, dance choreographer and movement coach for organizations such as ASF, Denver Center, Milwaukee Rep, Clarence Brown Theatre, Cornerstone Theatre, Mill Mountain Theatre, and Shenandoah Shakespeare. Film credits include fights for Absalom, Absalom! (Discovery Channel) and dances for the film Sommersby. Publications include: "Figuring the Fight: Recovering Shakespeare's Theatrical Swordplay" in Theatre Symposium and "Will and Reason" in Teaching Tolerance (Southern Poverty Law Center Website).
